Project HERA is a DC-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, celebrating, and empowering women and girls in music. We strive to provide opportunities for women of all ages to connect, perform, and promote their music to the general public. Project HERA started in 2017 with the goal of producing female-focused music events and festivals for folks of all ages and years of experience. Since then, Project HERA has hosted dozens of curated shows, networking events, workshops, open mics, and music festivals to showcase women's musical talent, improve representation within the music industry, and encourage young girls to march to the beat of their own drum (pun intended). Project HERA launched its signature festival "Lilith Fest" in 2023, which brings dozens of local performers together to commemorate the acts of the 1997-1999 Lilith Fair Music Festivals while fundraising for a local charity benefitting women in music.
