We aim to provide clean drinking water in underprivileged areas through provisions of contaminant-specific technologies. We set up community filtration plants which can provide water to 550 families or 2200+ slum residents every day. We have set up 13 community filtration plants across 3 states collectively impacting 35,750+ lives on a daily basis. Our intervention has also brought a reduction of 72% in the health-water expenditure per family/month and decreased diseases such as diarrhoea, typhoid and cholera. Through successful partnerships with organisations working in WASH; Asbah has been able to increase its impact. Project Baala assisted us in conducting workshops on menstrual hygiene and distributing reusable sanitary pads to 1700+ underprivileged women. Project Asbah is currently acting as the Central Implementing Agency for water filtration projects in the District of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh after being declared so by the Hon’ble MP of the Area and Union Minister Sanjiv Balyan. Project Asbah is the Winner of the World Water Race 2019 Impact Competition out of 120+ teams from all across the globe. The grand finals of the competition were held in Silicon Valley, California, USA. This achievement led us to appreciation by the Hon’ble Minister for Jal Shakti, Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who invited us to his residence and congratulated us for the same. Project Asbah has also been lauded by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.
