Progressive Coders Network is a 501(c)(3) progressive community of tech and non-tech activists reducing the influence of big money in politics by supporting the creation of open source tools to empower the grassroots and build a society embracing economic, environmental, racial, and social justice. ProgCode provides full service volunteer tech/non-tech support to developers and organizations building innovative low-cost open source tools for civic engagement to empower the grassroots, from ideation to implementation. The tech is conceived by volunteer activists to provide practical utility for grassroots campaigns, both social and electoral. The work of our community ranges from individual projects to full-scale tech for orgs such as OptOut News, Common Cause, GetUp, Global Women’s March, Hack The Ban, Indivisible, MIT, MoveOn, Movimiento Cosecha, Virginia NAACP, People Demand Change, and the Princeton Gerrymandering Project. ProgCode works with mission-aligned individuals and non-profit organizations to create a better, sustainable future for everyone.
