PROGMAX™ is the software engineering and manufacturing technology brand of Progressive Innovation & Automation, Inc., founded in Illinois in 2001. We began in control systems, equipment integration and complex automation consulting, helping manufacturers solve everyday production challenges. As equipment grew more sophisticated and production shifted toward greater variety and just-in-time delivery, we saw the need for a more connected, adaptable approach. That experience led us to develop “Object Oriented Manufacturing”—an approach that treats equipment, processes and production capabilities as reusable, connected components. It became the foundation for SHOPGRID®, our Manufacturing Intelligence and Execution Platform. Today, PROGMAX™ builds custom software, connects business systems and equipment, modernizes applications, and brings AI into practical business workflows. SHOPGRID® remains central to our manufacturing work, including real-time NC code generation from ERP data and operational intelligence through Scotty.
