Profy Information

Profy produces research, data and technology to make the use of AI in Brazilian education more reliable. We turn Brazil's official curriculum (BNCC) into open infrastructure: bncc.dev offers search, structured data, an API and an MCP server, free for teachers, developers and AI systems. Data and methodology are open under CC BY 4.0; npm and pip packages under MIT (github.com/bncc-dev). We also benchmark how well AI models know the BNCC: 15,300 questions to 17 models, with a public leaderboard at bncc.dev/benchmark. And we apply this foundation in solutions for schools, networks and publishers: Profy AEE (special education), Playground BNCC.dev (lesson planning) and Profy Microhab (curriculum architecture). AI supports each step; decisions always remain with educators. From Jan 2023 to Jul 2026, the Profy platform reached 137,000 teachers in more than 4,300 Brazilian municipalities, with over 300,000 lesson plans created. Selected by innovation and acceleration programs such as FAPDF (1st place in the Federal District innovation grant), BNDES Garagem, Órbita (FTD Educação), TEIA (Caixa Econômica Federal) and eLab (Columbia University). Everything that turns public knowledge into infrastructure should be public.
