Profounders enables people to learn, get support, and attract investments in their global sustainable solutions through a 3-step transformative programme. We live in uncertain times. The triple planetary crisis: climate change (because of the increasing CO2 emissions), biodiversity and ecosystems breakdown (with extinction of millions of species), and environmental pollution (toxic trails of economic growth and waste) are changing the way we see ourselves and our existence on earth. Overconsumption in combination with a liberated economy is transforming people, families, businesses, and nations thereby threatening impartiality in our times and challenging intergenerational equity. The true essence of sustainability is at stake. We must transform ourselves and find new ways on how to live and thrive on Earth – and we must act now! The 2021-2022 Profounders programme will focus on solutions within the Food industry as it holds an immense impact potential due to its global carbon footprint. For over a century, Denmark has developed a position of strength in food, with large global market shares, unique technologies and highly estimated brands along the entire supply chain. We aim to find solutions on problems in land use, food production, transportation, logistics, distribution, retail, consumption and much more.
