Professional HE Services (PHES) is an umbrella company for membership organisations in Higher Education. Currently PHES is the corporate "parent" of three Special Interest Organisations (SIOs); the British Universities Finance Directors Group (BUFDG), the Higher Education Strategic Planners Association (HESPA) and the Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE). PHES is managed by an Executive Board supported by an Executive Director: Gill Ball Melvyn Keen Executive Director - Karel Thomas, Executive Director (BUFDG) The Directors delegate responsibility for day-to-day management of the associations to the most senior member of staff working on behalf of that association. In practical terms, the PHES Operations Manager (Dominic Fryer) manages the shared back office functions.
