ProBC (pronounced: pro-bee-cee) was founded in mid-1996. The company is based out of Vernon, B.C. and currently maintains clients from a number of provinces throughout Canada. Initially the primary company focus was domain name registration and basic website hosting. We used to use Microsoft IIS webservers on Windows NT4, and although this worked well enough at the time and got us through a few years to build a client base we discovered better alternatives exist with Linux. Our move to Redhat and eventually into CentOS using Apache, MySQL and PHP has proven to be very successful. The current direction of the company is to still provide affordable domain name registrations, low-cost DIY web-hosting, and most importantly custom programming of database / backend management systems. At this time we are not aquiring new clients as our work loads are full.
