ProAcumen Ltd's core business is developing software that helps our clients become more efficient. We do this by building software which compliments our clients' processes, reduces complexity and leads to tangible benefits. The systems we specialise in are those that: Mainly need medium/large databases. Use web browsers and the internet as core technologies. Use licence-free technologies, such a open-source development platforms (for example php, perl etc) and database platforms (e.g. MySQL). We do use licensed software technologies if the client requests it. We have found that most of our clients have had one thing in common. They have started projects or processes which have grown and grown. When their projects started our clients had time constraints and used the tools that they had to hand such as Excel, Word and Email for example. They have worked fine at first, but as the projects developed, the volumes of data coming in, being-re-keyed and being analysed mushroomed. They also found they had given too much control of their web sites to their web service providers which meant that only these service providers could maintain and make changes to their web sites. They then realised that the best thing to do was to implement bespoke systems that radically improved the way their projects or processes worked. They came to ProAcumen for the solutions.
