The name Printiki is a combination of the words "Print" and "iki". Print refers to the core concept of our service, (printed) personalized photo products. The word "iki" has a Japanese origin and is used as a concept in aesthetics: Iki is an expression of simplicity, sophistication, spontaneity, and originality. This definition is exactly what we had in mind when we started Printiki. We love to share our photos digitally, but strongly believe there is something magical about a printed photograph. We believe that visual memories improve everyday life – there should be printed memories in every living room, bedroom, and office. A daily glance at our own captured moments makes us feel better about life, unlike looking at everyone else’s on social media. We strive to take all the friction out of printing people's memories. We want to make photo printing fun and easy. Next to our own private label Printiki, we operate a white label for one of the biggest retailers in the Netherlands: Hema. They are the market leader in photo printing and choose our software for our ability to innovate quickly.
