Primatte Information

The Primatte Division of Photron USA, Inc. was previously sold by and distributed by Photron¢¬¢s sister company, IMAGICA Corp. of America, which was based in Los Angeles, California. For the last several years now the Primatte technology has been back in the fold at Photron USA, Inc. which is based in San Diego, California. The main sales office for the PRIMATTE and O-gi products is based in Cameron Park, California while the San Diego head office specializes in the sales and support of high-speed cameras for the scientific, military, industrial and entertainment industries. The Primatte technology, originally developed by Yasushi Mishima, while at IMAGICA in Japan has been around for over fifteen years and is considered a mainstay in the special effects and compositing industries worldwide. It is well known for it easy-to-use interface and excellent results. It has been a dominant force in the motion picture, television and photographic marketplaces and is continuously being upgraded and improved. O-gi (oh-gee) was also developed in Japan a couple of years ago and is also being sold by the Primatte division. O-gi is a suite of five image quality augmenting filters available for Autodesk® Inferno®/Flame®/Flint®/Fire®/Smoke® and AVID|DS compositing/editing systems.
