The National College of Art & Design | Coláiste Náisiúnta Ealaíne is Deartha, Dublin, is Ireland’s leading provider of art and design education. Our campus on Thomas Street in Dublin’s historic city centre is home to a community of 1,500 undergraduate, graduate and part-time students engaged in a wide range of study and research across the disciplines of Design, Education, Fine Art and Visual Culture. The National College of Art and Design has been the most significant provider of Art & Design education in Ireland for over 250 years. The Abbey Theatre is Ireland's National Theatre. The Abbey Theatre, founded by W.B. Yeats and Lady Gregory, first opened its doors in 1904 to ‘bring upon the stage the deeper thoughts and emotions of Ireland’. Since then, it has played a vital and often controversial role in the literary, social and cultural life and landscape of Ireland. The Abbey’s reputation for presenting world-class productions has made it an ambassador for Irish arts and culture at home and abroad.
