What is it? Primary Care Analytics was started as a General Practice led service providing Population insights, EMIS expertise and Practice support. Working with PCN teams and using General Practice data we can build expertise, capability and capacity to analytical roles and ensure Practices receive the most up to date information on their population, contractual requirements such as CEIF, IIF and the DES, and get a better understanding of their demand and capacity. How will it help you? Data is insight and ensuring you have the right data to enable intelligent decision making is essential to aiding efficiencies and better patient outcomes. The Primary Care Analytics Team will be able to provide you with tools, resources and actionable insights for you to be able to use in Practice. As well as this we will work with your Analysts and include them in a network so pieces of work can be shared, made scalable and reduce the duplication across PCNs, ultimately reducing the overall workload of your analyst and maximizing the outputs. How is it different and innovative This approach is potentially first of its kind, funded by the PCNs, for the PCNs. Steered and driven by General Practice experience and leadership. To date Primary Care provider information teams have been near-on inexistent and incomparable to Secondary Care and Local Authorities. This gives us the opportunity to raise the bar and focus on supporting Primary Care in a way that it hasn’t seen before.
