Primal Pathways designs personalised safari journeys and wilderness retreats, guiding people back into a relationship with the wild, through travel and through stillness. Brent Harris, our founder, has guided in Africa's wild places since 2001, drawn by an enduring love of the land and a deep understanding of its ecosystems and the people who call it home. He has worked as a certified Integral Coach® since 2018. That dual grounding, in the bush and in human development, shapes everything we do. Primal Africa: deeply personalised conservation safaris across the continent and wild places further afield. We travel extensively to hand-select lodges that hold themselves to the highest environmental and ethical standards, and guides whose knowledge of the land runs deep - because how you travel is inseparable from what your travel protects. Primal Intelligence: immersive wilderness retreats. We gather small groups to step out of the pace of modern life and into the presence of nature. The work is mostly on foot, tracking animals as teachers, in landscapes remote enough to grow quiet in. There, surrounded by billions of years of shared life experience, people tend to listen to their own inner landscape again. Primal Foundation: our non-profit, supporting conservation and community work in the places we travel. Primal Gear: considered equipment we have come to trust in the field. Wilderness is not only a place but a way of being we have grown unfamiliar with, one in which we experience the world as other life forms experience it, eternally interwoven. Reconnecting with it, whether from a safari vehicle or on foot, awakens something long dormant. It is an honour to guide that return.
