Primal Architects builds custom retreats across the American West. Cabins, residences, and boutique hospitality. Every building begins as a negotiation between human need and landscape. We start from the conditions of a specific site and let the design follow from there: how the light moves, where the air and water come from, what holds warmth. The aim is work that belongs to its place rather than sitting on top of it. The practice spans residential retreats, remote and rural sites, high-performance construction, and a close attention to material and craft.
