Founded in 1988, Compass continues being a leader in HIV prevention and an organizer of information and referral services for gays and lesbians who needed assistance as they navigate toward empowered, healthy, productive lives. Compass remains the sole provider of crisis and care services for people living with HIV for the Palm Beach Department of Health, has HIV case management services to connect newly-diagnosed people to care, and continues its tradition as an expert in HIV prevention activities. In 1999, with the help of a generous contribution from Ken Adams, Compass set an ambitious goal – to make all of Palm Beach County a safe place for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. Compass created one of the largest outreach events of its kind in Florida’s history, PrideFest of the Palm Beaches. Then, to connect local residents to their elected officials, Compass created the Stonewall Ball, along with the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, so that our unique and diverse voices would be heard and understood by those with the responsibility to lead us. Compass accomplishes its mission each day by emboldening our youth, promoting pride in our community, and acting as an educator, advocate, health service provider, and focal point for community organizing. As good neighbors, effective partners, and respected participants in our civic responsibilities, Compass promotes awareness of the caring nature of our diverse community, and continues to make history doing so.

MISSION To support, educate and empower South Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and the community at large in safe and diverse environments through affirming programs and services to promote dialogue, wellness and foster social change. HISTORY Pridelines is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by gay and bisexual youth for LGBTQ youth and their allies in the wake of Anita Bryant’s “Save Our Children” campaign. Rooted in a peer-led/adult-facilitated youth group model, and with the help of Dr Marilyn Volker, Peter Meyer and other concerned adults, the group began meeting at Miami-Dade College in 1982. In 1999, under the leadership of group member Dale Ayres, the group incorporated, moved into its own space and changed its name to Pridelines Youth Services. Fundraising efforts quickly increased, Health Department contracts soon followed and programs grew contributing the growth of Pridelines Youth Services. Pridelines was one of the first community-based HIV testing sites in Miami-Dade County. More than 30 years later, Pridelines continues to provide safe space, social support, skills building, leadership development and referrals to mental health, health care and support services for LGBTQ youth and their straight allies throughout South Florida. Today, the agency has grown and matured just like our youth. In 2015, Pridelines Youth Services shortened its name to Pridelines, reflecting our desire to support the lives of all members of South Florida’s LGBTQ community. We will continue to ensure that our LGBTQ youth have the support they need, while also committing to doing so throughout their lifetime. As we grow, Pridelines will expand programs and services for adults and families to provide life-long support for our community.

Hudson Pride Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization located in Jersey City, one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in this country and home to the largest LGBTQ community in New Jersey. Hudson Pride was established in 1993 to serve as an advocate for both the LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS communities in Hudson County and more than 20 years later, we are still delivering a wide array of services, programs, and events to meet their on-going needs. Such programs and services include:social/educational groups for LGBTQ youth and LGBTQ seniors. specialized support groups for transgender individuals, HIV+ gay/bisexual men and HIV+ women of color (of any sexual orientation). linkage to HIV care services for HIV-infected men who have sex with men, transgender women and women of color who have fallen out of HIV medical care or have never accessed such care. HIV adherence counseling for HIV+men who have sex with men, transgender women and women of color. PrEP counseling for HIV(-) gay/bisexual men and transgender women. LGBTQ health education focusing on issues related to HIV/STI prevention and care, alcohol and drug prevention, intimate partner violence, minority stress, and health disparitiesLGBTQ-focused community programming and events, such as delivering student-targeted HS and college presentations, hosting our annual LGBTQ youth prom and tabling at local cultural festivalsLGBTQ service referrals, mentoring, and career development
