Pride Academy Information

This academy is specially developed for Pride Organizers, however our tools are available to everyone. Over 1.000 Prides all around the world take place on an annual base. And despite many cultural differences, these Prides also have a lot in common. They are making us visible because what is visible can not be ignored and has to be dealt with. But organizing Pride comes with many challenges. Over the years, I have been able to visit many Prides. Noticeable for me was that many are struggling with the same questions and problems. How to ensure Pride is sustainable and inclusive. How to create impactful human rights programs? And how to manage security and volunteers. InterPride and other Pride Platforms like EPOA and FCP organize annual conferences with many excellent workshops. Unfortunately, not every pride organizer has the ability to travel to those places. Thats why we decided to develop the Pride Academy. Via online training, we want to service Pride organizers around the world. Inspiration and sharing of insights is our ambition. So the global Pride movement will keep growing in numbers and strength. We start modest. But hopefully, soon more training can be added to this online Academy. We need to thank San Diego Pride, Pride United and InterPride that made this first edition possible.
