Precision Drive Systems, LLC is a USA-based high-speed spindle manufacturing and repair center operating in North Carolina. Originally founded in 1996 as the North American Sales and Service Arm representing Giordano Colombo spindles from Italy, PDS now produces their own line of advanced technology spindles as well as providing complete repair and upgrade services for any brand of spindle. Since 1996 PDS has developed specialized expertise in all types of spindles, super precision bearings, motors, drives, tooling, and aggregate attachments for the wood working and metal machine tool applications. Robotic applications technology is an area of where unique technical expertise has been developed. The experience gained through the daily root cause failure analysis performed in evaluating spindles to be repaired has given PDS a unique perspective for what goes wrong with spindles in the field. This knowledge is translated into superior designs found in the PDS XLerator and Dyna-LOC series of spindles. To complete the offering of total spindle solutions for their customers, PDS also partners and offers variable frequency drives, aggregates, tool holders, tool forks and collets.
