For the past 25 years, the folks at Think & Tinker have been designing custom cutters for a wide variety of soft, non-metallic materials. In 1998, we began working with some of the best pool cue artists / craftsmen in the United States (and arguably, the world) to develop a set of tools that would bring the precision of metal machining to CNC and pantograph based woodworking. With the introduction of the MM208 family of milling cutters in 1999, this goal became a reality. Ongoing development led to the introduction of the PreciseBit family of cutters in 2001 with diameters ranging from 0.0010" (0.025mm) to 0.1250" (3.175mm). Boasting specifications like 0.0005" max TIR (0.0125 mm, Total Indicated Run-out) and diameter tolerances = 0.0010" (0.025mm) PreciseBits remain some of the finest wood cutting micro-tools on the market today.
