Prayer Canada Information

Prayer Canada has established their own amateur (HAM) radio station, which gives them access, without cost, to speak to people around the world. They also had an hour-long program on the local Surrey television station for sixteen years, called Sunday Night Alive. Since 1978, Prayer Canada has had weekly prayer meetings in their offices three times a week, plus a prayer meeting in the Surrey City Hall each Tuesday noon. There are now over fourteen cities in the Lower Mainland with prayer meetings in their city halls. Prayer Canada issues a quarterly twelve-page newsletter, the Prayer Post Courier, to keep their Prayer Partners informed. It contains letters from across the nation and from many other nations, which have now grasped this vision for their nation. Volunteer workers often assist with the work of Prayer Canada, in addition to the secretary, who is there five days per week. Arne and Kathie have been full-time volunteers for the entire thirty years. Arne says that there are about 800 cities in Canada of over 5000 populations where there should be prayer meetings one day a week at noon. Of course, every community should be adhering to 1 Tim. 2: 1-5, looking to the guarantee of 2 Chron. 7:14. Though Canada is a most attractive nation to come to, it may not remain that way for long, if Christian principles are not kept in place, as they were by our fathers of Confederation. Every Christian needs to face their responsibility where they are placed. Prayer Canada has 211 nations registered under Prayer International and is working to establish Prayer Partners in each nation, so they can pray for their authorities.
