PR Polymers Pty Ltd (PRP) was established in 1992 in Brisbane, Australia. It is a wholly Australian owned company with a head office and main manufacturing facility in Brisbane. PRP's core capability is manufacturing and supplying mineral processing products, drilling consumables and Down-Under air decking & stemming products for the mining and drilling industries. PRP has grown to become an international industry leader and has developed an enviable reputation for producing high quality, innovative products that perform in all conditions. Company founder Mike Martin used his expertise in chemical engineering to create consumable components which met customers unique requirements for wear, impact, abrasion and corrosion resistance. PRP first developed the award-winning Down-Under KoolKap ® Bags in 1998. The introduction of bags to the range of products allowed PRP to introduce its expertise in drilling and blasting operations to a wider range of mining-related companies. In 2004 PRP started to expand its reach beyond Australia by exploring the South American mining industry. With a growing focus on safety, South American operations started to test the use of bags in blasting applications. The Down-Under range of bags are Environmentally friendly and Non-Toxic compared to other bags in the same market. PRP works closely with customers in industrial and mining industries to customise components to suit specific needs. Our Research and Development team is closely involved in field operations, ensuring that our technology development is driven by the requirement for practical solutions, and indeed, the end user objectives.
