PPC Engineering Services Include: Site Surveys: Site surveys can be initiated when a client is experiencing an operational problem that needs to be addressed or when they wish to evaluate the performance of their current/future equipment. PPC Engineering performs four different types of pulsation studies: • API 618 – Reciprocating Compressors o Design Approach 1, 2, and 3 • API 674 – Positive Displacement Pumps – Reciprocating o Design Approach 1 and 2 o Mechanical Analysis per API 618 Design Approach 3 • API 675 – Positive Displacement Pumps – Controlled Volume o Design Approach 1 and 2 o Mechanical Analysis per API 618 Design Approach 3 • Simplified Acoustic Analysis (Custom Acceptance Criteria) o Analysis performed using custom acceptance criteria The design approach choices are: a) Design Approach 1—Empirical Pulsation Suppression Device Sizing. b) Design Approach 2—Acoustic Simulation and Piping Restraint Analysis. c) Design Approach 3—Acoustic Simulation and Piping Restraint Analysis Plus Mechanical Analysis (with Forced Mechanical Response Analysis if necessary).
