PowerSense develops and produces high-quality supervision and control systems for the utility industry. The control systems have been designed to be installed and integrated in medium voltage distribution networks, and they provide the grid operator with information about load currents, power levels, voltage quality, disturbances in the grid, and distance to faults. With this information, the grid operator can significantly improve the daily operation and long-term planning to reduce loss from non-delivered energy. PowerSense A/S was founded on September 1, 2006 as a spin-off of the Danish utility DONG Energy (formerly Nesa A/S). The company is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. PowerSense A/S has a highly dedicated team of technical and sales professionals with many years of experience in product development, grid operation, and international partnerships. Today, PowerSense A/S works with major utilities throughout Europe, the US, Asia Pacific, and South America. In 2014 PowerSense was sold to Landis+Gyr AG - Switzerland
