PowerPlantMaps.com Information

PowerPlantMaps.com was created in response to the heartfelt stories of parents worried about their children's health due to living near coal, gas, and nuclear power plants. Our mission is to document and raise awareness about the health and safety issues related to air and water quality around these facilities. We use satellite imagery to identify and document coal ash ponds and monitor communities affected by the expansion of power plants. Our extensive database allows users to search for Facebook communities where individuals are actively working to stop big energy companies from polluting their towns. Our work is made possible through subscriptions, advertising, and content sponsorships, which support our efforts to provide valuable data and resources to communities impacted by power plants. Join us in our mission to protect public health and the environment.
