We, The Post-Crash Economics Society, are a group of economics students at The University of Manchester. It is our belief that the content of the economics syllabus and teaching methods could and should be seriously rethought. In 2014, we published a report which contained a compelling analysis of the failings in economics education and set out a road map for reform. Our campaign has been covered nationally and internationally by The Economist, The Financial Times, The Washington Post, among others. Members co-wrote the book 'The Econocracy: The Perils of Leaving Economics to the Experts' in 2016, which is viewable on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Econocracy-Perils-Leaving-Economics-Experts/dp/0141986867/ At the University of Manchester, we host events which showcase a diverse range of economic thought unavailable in our current curriculum, which have hundreds of attendees. If you would like to collaborate with us, please reach out to us in our inbox.
