Scarborough Primary School, established in 1934, is proud of its heritage as the very first school in Scarborough and the learning environment it provides that will equip our students with skills and abilities for their future in an ever changing world. The staff at Scarborough Primary School are enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated to the students' learning. We have close links with neighbouring schools, sharing professional knowledge and practice in order to provide students with a relevant and motivating learning experience. Our strong focus on literacy and numeracy is integrated throughout the curriculum and the Australian Curriculum is fully incorporated into these areas.

We believe that an explicit focus on effective teaching and social and emotional well being will create the conditions necessary for our students to achieve their potential. Therefore, classroom practice exemplifies our beliefs about teaching and learning. At Kinross, we put students first. Additional support services include a school psychologist who attends weekly to provide staff and parents with professional guidance and to facilitate case conferences, a school Chaplain, a community health nurse and West Coast District PEAC Centre. Como Secondary College delivers excellence in secondary education. It has a student enrolment of just over 800 and it enjoys quiet, secure and pleasant environs. Como is well-located being within the community of South Perth and six kilometres from the CBD of the City of Perth. Also, it is adjacent to Western Australia's largest university, the Curtin University of Technology. Como Secondary College is a school of the Department of Education and Training in Western Australia and as such enjoys the support and quality assurance of a government school. Our students undertake courses of study in Years 7 to 12 with most of our students coming from the local community. Other students join us from around WA to study one of our four special programs (Science & Technology, Hockey, Golf and Music). In addition, we have a small enrolment of overseas students. Como has a resurgent school reputation earned through improvements in its academic outcomes together with the international and national successes of its special programs. Some examples of this include, being named as the Australasian Champion Golf School in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008. Our Boys hockey teams have been the WA Boys School champions winning the David Bell Cup for the last 13 years straight. The Girls hockey teams also do extremely well every year and again are the WA Girls School champions after winning the Buchanan Cup. Our Golf and Hockey programs have also produced many state, national and international champions. We were also winners of the WA Rock Eisteddfod in 2000 and 2002, and the last six years we have maintained top three finishes. The Music program has also achieved two second places in the Melbourne Schools Bands Competition in 2005 and in 2007 the Junior Concert Bank received a rating "excellent" at the State Concert Bank Festival.
