Popkollo Information

Popkollo is a music camp for girls in the age of 10-20 that is organized by local volunteer-based organizations in different places all over Sweden who are all part of the Popkollo National Organization. At Popkollo the campers learn to play different instruments, start their own band, write their own songs, attend inspiring workshops with artists and musicians from different genres. The purpose with Popkollo is to achieve a gender equal music scene where everyone can play music. We do this by offering an environment where the norms look different than in the current society. We use norm critical pedagogy and methods to encourage creativity and DIT (Do It Together).
