POP WARNER SOUTHSIDE LITTLE COWBOYS Information

The San Antonio Saints is a local association of Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. that strives to support San Antonio's youth development through participation in organized football, cheer, and dance programs. We are one of the youngest Pop Warner programs in the city, yet we have developed a strong commitment to excellence on and off the field. Our participants learn hard work, team work, and build a competitive spirit while participating in our programs. We have, in five short years, represented San Antonio at national competition in cheer and throughout the Southwest Region for football. Being a part of Pop Warner we take great pride in serving as a member of the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate. This year, one of our football players has been named to the Pop Warner All-American Academic Team and another to the second team. Yearly, we provide our football players and cheerleaders with safe, sanitary equipment, and a safe field upon which to compete and practice. The association also provides insurance for all participants in the unfortunate case of injury. All board and coaching positions are on a volunteer basis, and no one within the association is compensated monetarily for the services they provide. All of these advantages do not come without cost; and that is why we depend on community support from organizations such as yours to continue our youth program. Annually the average cost of doing business is for our non-profit organization is $60,000 to $75,000.00. This amount includes the purchase of all football, cheerleading, and dance equipment, insurance, etc. Additionally, the money ensures that all volunteers are trained correctly in order to conduct practices and competitions safely, and that all fees necessary to participate in Pop Warner Little Scholars are paid.
