In connection with the planned transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to international standards for geological reporting, the Kazakhstan Code for the Public Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves (KAZRC Code) was implemented, and on November 25, 2015, the Public Association "Professional Association of Independent Subsoil Experts" was established (PONEN). The main goal of creating the PONEN is to develop the practice of independent assessment of mineral resources in the Republic, as well as to increase the efficiency of studying and developing natural resources. The initiative group includes leaders and leading specialists of geological companies from different regions of Kazakhstan. In the future, it is planned to admit experts from among the most qualified specialists of geological exploration and mining organizations to the PONEN members to ensure the full range of independent mineral resources expertise.
