Pomfret is an independent coeducational college preparatory school for 355 boarding and day students — hailing from 26 states and 17 countries — in grades 9 through 12 with postgraduates. Founded in 1894, our mission is to cultivate a healthy interdependence of mind, body, and spirit as we prepare our students for college, and to lead and learn in a diverse and increasingly interconnected society. Set on a stunning 500-acre hilltop in rural Northeastern Connecticut, our campus is less than an hour from Boston, Hartford, and Providence, and only 3 hours from New York City.
