Politically Aweh Information

Politically Aweh is a “new(s) kind of show” that delivers informative and entertaining videos about news & political issues in South Africa. For those not from around these parts, South Africans say “aweh” to acknowledge something or greet someone in a friendly way. We are spreading the “aweh-ness” by helping young (and young at heart!) South Africans get more familiar with what’s happening in their country in regular short videos. We are working closely with online news site Daily Maverick to ensure our videos are as factual and credible as they are fun to watch. We are supported by Zootee Studios and the National Film & Video Foundation and are currently being incubated on the JAMLab (Journalism and Media Lab) media accelerator programme at the state of the art Tshimologong Innovation Precinct at Wits University in Johannesburg.
