Founded in 1977 by Lady Blanka Rosenstiel, the Chopin Foundation of the United States is a national non-profit arts organization based in Miami. Our mission is to support young, talented American pianists in their career development as international concert artists and to make classical music, especially the music of Frédéric Chopin, accessible to everyone.
The Chopin Foundation achieves this through scholarships, educational programs, and community concerts. Our flagship event, the National Chopin Piano Competition, was established in 1975 and takes place every five years. The next competition is in January 2025.
