Cermaq is one of the world's leading companies in farming of salmon and trout, with operations in Norway, Chile and Canada and about 4000 employees. Nova Sea AS is one of the largest salmon farming companies in Northern Norway. The administration and industrial facilities are situated at the island of Lovund in the Municipality of Lurøy. All harvest and packing is accommodated here prior to distribution into our domestic and international markets. The founders of Nova Sea were amongst the pioneers in the farming of Atlantic Salmon in the early 1970s. There was a good deal of trials and mistakes in the beginning of what became a long and exciting fairy-tale.
