Polar OLED supplies materials which enable some of the world's most efficient printed OLEDs for display and lighting. Our materials are deployed in solution, and then exposed to UV - just like high-performance printing inks. The UV renders the material insoluble through a patented cross-linking process. As a result, the need for orthogonal solvents is removed - suddenly an LED can have as many layers as required. By enabling solution-processed OLEDs to have as many layers as an evaporated/small-molecule OLED, we make spectacular gains in brightness and efficiency, while lowering the overall cost of the device.
