The site is the result of the merger of two highly successful unofficial Cedar Point fan sites: Guide to the Point, founded by Jeff Putz on May 28, 1998 and Virtual Midway, founded by Walt Schmidt on May 23, 2000. PointBuzz exists to provide Cedar Point enthusiasts and guests the ultimate resource to the ultimate amusement park. This is accomplished through moderated discussion, in-depth coverage and timely news, high-quality photography and video, exclusive features, and much more Cedar Point is an amusement park and resort located on a Lake Erie peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio.
