POINT ApS Information

Our starting point is the people the client wants frame-works for. POINT has conducted many types of tasks, big and small, but in any scale we always conceptualize our projects from a preoccupation with human expression, interaction and social sustainability. The focal point of our projects is consistently about the meeting between people, and we aim to create architecture that as a first priority facilitates openness and stronger communities. For us, it is essential to regard social sustainability as the primary premise of spatial design, in the belief that interpersonal relationships, communication and mutual understanding are essential prerequisites for the development of the best possible society. We examine how the place can maximize the social, environmental and economic value. Our approach to a task is based on a fundamental understanding of the place and the phenomenon’s that characterize it. We have worked with architecture as a social actor and facilitator in numerous projects. We create open systems that enable different individuals to choose between degrees of privacy and publicity, and turn introvert functions into possible meetings and conversation topics. All projects are integrated in the given place and strengthen the local identity and culture as much as possible.
