Podpadstudios developed from the creation of artistic elements for film, TV, and exhibitions. Over the years, we have developed a significant collection of our own artistic creations for hire. Over the last 15 years we have been hired for hundreds of events, and millions of people have been entertained by our handmade interactive creations. Every one of our creations is built from recycled and repurposed materials, all fully interactive. At the heart of each of our creations is the power plant: a powered wheelchair motor or motors. Combine this with our radio control and autonomous object recognition systems and you have something very unqiue for any event. Our menagerie includes roaring Dragons, steampunk Daleks, a collection of film inspired bikes and robots. We don't offer the usual dry hire replica film props or static backdrops at any events. We offer the opportunity to meet the Artists. Our conversations with the public revolve around "How did you make it?" talking about electronics, 3-D printing, welding and also planning, culture and the aesthetics of the design as well as our unique method of building with recycled and repurposed materials. With a background in education, we also have experience of attending S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) events, and many of our followers on social media are actually makers themselves or involved in cosplay, film or craft-related activities.
