We at the pocketBERT Company develop hand-held bench-top devices for electrical and optical 10 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s test, demonstration and verification applications. With over 20+ years in the semiconductor and optical component business, we have realized a growing need for affordable and portable high-speed PRBS pattern generators and checkers that complement existing high-precision and expensive test equipment. Our stand-alone solutions are inexpensive, physically small Bit Error Rate Testers (BERT), Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) and Frequency Synthesizer units for Sonet, SDH, OTN, OC-192, STM-64, ODU2, OTL4, 100GBASE-R4, 10/100 Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100 Gigabit Fiber Channel applications. Our pocketBERTs will enable lab and field application engineers to run several tests in parallel, speed up manufacturing and production testing, debug systems in the field, and demonstrate/stimulate component and system performance during trade shows or customer presentations.
