Pluvius was established in 1983 and remains a family owned and managed business today. The original covers were designed and built by Mr Michael Hurst, an Honorary life member of Warwickshire County Cricket Club who served on the ECB Pitches Committee for a number of years. His background as a structural engineer ensured the designs were effective and robust, enabling Pluvius to establish itself as a leader in the field supplying cricket club covers and cricket club sight screens. The original prototype set of pitch covers is still in use today at Leamington Cricket Club who play in the Birmingham League. Pluvius has supplied many leading clubs, schools and corporate facilities throughout the country. Improvements and modifications have been made along the way by listening to groundsmen and by updating manufacturing techniques and improving component quality. All Pluvius cricket pitch covers are fully guaranteed for 3 years from date of purchase. This excludes vandalism and accidental damage.
