Unfortunately, Remploy Electronics closed in September 2012, due to a reduction in funding. This followed a government review of how to provide employment and training opportunities to people with disability. We strived to provide a high quality EMS service to a wide range of Hi-Tech customers across the UK since we were set up as a stand alone business in 2003. I would like to thank all the customers and suppliers we have dealt with over the last 10 years or so and particularly those people that have supported our mission to provide sustainable employment for people with disability. We had a diverse, highly trained and experienced workforce with skills in Printed Circuit Board assemblies (PCBA), Cable & Harness assemblies and Electromechanical (E-mech) assemblies. This was supported with engineering, purchasing and materials control, estimating, sales and operations management. Many of the workforce are still looking for employment and would be keen to hear from anyone who might be interested in recruting people with these skills.
