Since 1751, The Plumsteadville Inn has been providing the locals and visitors with delicious food, refreshing drinks and a place to stay. Look to the Plumsteadville Inn for any of your needs! The Plumsteadville Inn slogan, Burgers & Beer, Lobster & Cheer, states it all. We provide an array of atmosphere's and offer the same great menu in all dining rooms. The Plum is also an active Inn, Banquet Facility and Caterer. Matt George, current owner and operator, purchased the business in 2021 from long time mentor and restauranteur Angelo Evangelista. Matt is a veteran of the restaurant industry, starting as a bus boy at just 13 years old. This is where Matt found his true passion for the industry, and Angelo took him under his wing showing him the ins and outs of the business. Matt attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island where he received his Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. During his time at JWU, Matt was an active member in the Future Business Leaders of America organization. Upon graduation, Matt had a short stint as a kitchen manager before moving positions with Culinart as an Assistant Food Service Director. Gaining ever lasting experience in this position, Matt realized restaurants where his true passion. In 2012, when Evangelista purchased the Plumsteadville Inn, Matt was one of his first calls to see if he wanted to be aboard the team here. Matt took on the General Manager position and was a critical part in the opening and growth of "the Inn". In 2018, Matt took a leap of faith to open his own restaurant, Magias, in the Lehigh Valley Area. After the Covid-19 pandemic struck, Matt made the difficult decision to sell his restaurant. While Matt was doing some consulting work, Evangelista came knocking again, and asking if he would like to purchase the Inn. Two and a half years later the Inn is still thriving and doing better than it ever has.
