Plumerai provides a complete AI software stack for cameras, built for smart home and commercial security products. Its Video Intelligence software combines highly efficient tiny edge AI with VLMs and LLMs to deliver a broad set of production-ready advanced capabilities for intelligent cameras and security systems. Plumerai covers standard smart home camera features such as People, Vehicle, Animal, and Package Detection, Advanced Motion Detection, and Familiar Face Identification. It also adds advanced capabilities including Multi-Camera Re-Identification, AI Video Search, and AI Captions. With Video Search, users can type natural-language queries such as “mailman” or “man with a ladder”, and AI Captions provide end users with brief textual descriptions of the video clip recordings, giving them an immediate understanding of what happened. Plumerai builds its models from the ground up, using its own data collection, model architectures, and efficient deployment technology that uses accelerators or GPUs. These components are integrated into a complete solution that is ready for customers to deploy in their own cameras, devices, and cloud infrastructure. The software can run on-device, on-prem, in the cloud, or in hybrid deployments, helping customers improve accuracy, reduce cloud cost, protect privacy through on-device processing, and support low-power and battery-powered cameras.
