Plesner Architects Information

Plesner Architects consists of 3 family partners Ulrik Plesner, Daniela Plesner, and Maya Plesner. The office was established in Israel in 1972 by Ulrik, and is run by Daniela and Maya for since 1995. We are experienced professionals with a range of completed educational projects, public buildings, hotels, private residences, parks and small and large town plans. Our work has received national and international prizes and is being published regularly in Israel and international media. The office is conveniently located in the center of Tel Aviv. Ulrik Plesner graduated at the Royal Academy Architecture School in Copenhagen, Denmark and established an office in Sri Lanka with Geoffrey Bawa. Together they designed schools, private houses, hotels - as well as large-scale projects for the World Bank. Returning to Europe, Plesner worked as a group leader in Ove Arup in London. Eventually, he moved to Israel in 1972 and started his own firm; during this period he was also Jerusalem's City Architect from 1974-75. Daniela Plesner, Partner, graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Architecture (honors) in Jerusalem in 1994, after spending a year on a fellowship at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Since then she was running the office with Maya Plesner and responsible for the design and execution of all projects and competitions that took place in the office. Maya Plesner, Partner, joined Plesner Architects after graduating from the Bezalel Academy of Architecture (honors) in Jerusalem in 1997. Since then she was running the office with Daniela Plesner and responsible for the design and execution all projects and competitions that took place in the office. Each and every project in the office is managed by Maya or Daniela and they are creatively and intimately involved in every stage of every office project, both with clients and with the design. The project is carried out by a group of office architects in close collaboration with outside consultants and specialists.
