Founded by Richard "Dr. Rick" Solomon, M.D., a developmental and behavioral pediatrician, PLAY Project is both an organization and an autism early intervention program. From 2009-2012 was the principal investigator of one of the largest intervention research study in the U.S. with young children with ASD, results of which are expected to be published, Fall 2014, in the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics As a professional training and development company, the PLAY Project organization develops training curriculums for professionals and parents; establishes systems of care through public or private networks in Early Intervention and Community Mental Health; organizes training events; and manages the credentialing process of the PLAY Project Certification program. We have an extensive network of Certified PLAY Project Consultants and Supervisors who provide support to our certification trainees. The PLAY Project offers a catalog of standard and custom training options on PLAY Project intervention methods and topics related to autism and other developmental disabilities.
