PlasmaSaves.org is a non-profit started in direct response to the COVID-19 global crisis. In an effort to put an end to COVID-19 fatalities, this organization hopes to support those suffering from this debilitating virus by campaigning to people about the importance of antibodies from those who have fully recovered from the infection. PlasmaSaves.org pays it forward by donating $100 per plasma donation in the donor's name to organizations like God's Love We Deliver New York or the nationwide Food is Medicine Coalition, that prior to coronavirus have dedicated themselves to providing tailored meals to those living with serious illness. Since then, they have completely shifted their services to aid people struggling due to COVID-19 to provide comfort to those in need during these unprecedented times. When a person contracts a virus like COVID-19 and successfully combats the virus, their plasma now contains infection-fighting antibodies that can be administered to current COVID-19 patients as a form of healing therapy called “convalescent plasma”.
