PLANX is a South African manufacturer of a range of wooden educational toys, including our award-winning flagship product called "Planx" which is an all wood building block. All our products are hand-made in the Western Cape in South Africa from high quality, sustainable South African pine. Our coloured blocks are dyed with water-based non-toxic wood dyes and the varnish used on the plain items is also a water-based non-toxic varnish. This ensures that all products are safe for children. Our products are designed to improve hand-eye co-ordination, dexterity and reasoning skills and to promote creative play. The range of products is suitable for children from age 3 to 103! They stimulate the mind and foster a mind-set of discovery. They are also a very useful tool within the educational environment. All the Planx building sets come with instructions to help get children started and to suggest some design ideas.
