PLANS Architects is a Brooklyn-based AIA architecture firm founded by Daniel Kidd AIA, formerly of Bjarke Ingels Group, SO-IL, and A+I. We work across residential, commercial, and institutional projects in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Hudson Valley, bringing rigorous design thinking and deep technical expertise to every scale of work. Our completed projects include historic brownstone restorations in Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn Heights, a first-prize ADU competition win in Kingston, NY, with plans pre-approved for construction citywide, mass timber construction over a 1950 Williamsburg firehouse, commercial showrooms for Ligne Roset in Manhattan, and acoustic studios at the Juilliard School. We manage every phase of the process from initial concept through New York City Department of Buildings filings and construction administration. Daniel Kidd AIA holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University with the Honor Award for Excellence in Design, Lowenfish Prize, and Kinne Fellows Prize. He has taught design studios at Harvard GSD, Columbia, Syracuse, Parsons, the Royal Danish Academy of Art, and CUNY City Tech.
