Planning and Conservation League Information

The Planning and Conservation League (PCL) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit lobbying organization devoted to enacting and implementing policies that protect and restore California’s environment at legislative and administrative levels. Since 1965, we’ve transformed the landscape of California, preserving its iconic forests, coastlines, mountains, and watersheds, and promoting open spaces, habitats, and healthy communities. Our work is officially recognized by official resolution of the State Legislature, affirming that "participation on every key environmental issue before the State Legislature has demonstrated PCL's effectiveness in preserving the quality of life for all Californians.” Join us in our mission to restore California’s natural landscapes and protect its people through policy and action.
