FlightAware (flightaware.com) is the leading provider of real-time and historical flight information and insights to the global aviation community. FlightAware serves all segments of the aviation marketplace through best-of-breed applications and data services that provide comprehensive information about the current and predicted movement of aircraft. Through the collection, interpretation, and enrichment of hundreds of sources of data, including data from FlightAware’s own proprietary terrestrial ADS-B network spanning seven continents and in 200 countries and territories, the company is able to transform millions of raw flight data elements and deliver them as coherent, easy-to-consume flight stories. As a single source of accurate and actionable data for aviation players large and small, FlightAware is central to aviation.
FlightAware is owned by Collins Aerospace (a Raytheon company) with headquarters in Houston and locations in New York, Austin, Singapore, and London.
Flightradar24 tracks positions of aircraft in real-time and turns that data into engaging consumer and business applications. The data comes primarily from a proprietary, crowd-sourced network of 60,000+ so-called ADS-B receivers hosted by private individuals and companies all over the world and tracks 250,000+ flights per day. This network of ADS-B receivers is the largest in the world.
In addition to ADS-B data, Flightradar24 is able to get positional data for non-ADS-B equipped aircraft through the use of Multilateration (MLAT). The ADS-B and MLAT data is merged with schedule and flight status data from airlines and airports to create a unique flight tracking experience. You can read more about how Flightradar24 works here:

Founded in 1998, the ATC Network was the first dedicated ‘free to access’ online ATC community for the ATC Industry. Originally there was an idea to centralise all information concerning the ATC industry at one place on the internet. In co-oper- ation with many associations and professionals the community grew and grew. This encouraged the professionals, experts, companies and associations to actively partake in the collation and timely publication of the industry’s latest developments.
