Outdoor Gourmet is the original, modern-day manufacturer of cedar grilling planks, introducing them to the market in 1995. Outdoor Gourmet now produces six flavors of grilling planks, as well as cedar wraps, skewers, smoking chunks and grilling accessories. We sell our products in 50 U.S. states and export all over the world. We are a small family-owned and operated manufacturer and wholesaler. All of our material is sourced, and our products are 100% made in the USA. All phases of manufacturing take place at our Sandpoint, ID facility. We use only food-grade lubricants in all of our machinery to ensure the highest standards of food safety. Local manufacturing and control also ensures that our organic grilling planks are 100% pure. Our mill and offices are located in the heart of Western Red Cedar's botanical range, in Sandpoint, Idaho. The environmental cost of obtaining and transporting our raw material, measured in fossil fuel consumption, is very low. Instead of cutting down trees, we recycle second-grade pieces from local suppliers that purchase lumber from sustainable sources.

We are a husband and wife team, working together to share our love and creativity for grilling/smoking and making homemade food. We began in our kitchen as a catering company and after a few years, the demand became so great that we opened our take-out location in August 2015. All of the meats are smoked on one of Keith's custom made smokers. Since the very beginning, he has held firm with the belief that smoking/grilling his meats old-school, pit-style and using all wood was what gave his foods the very best flavor. The customers agreed!
